A little down lately

I haven't posted because I've had nothing to write. I'm lonely, yet feeling like I never have time to myself. A contradiction.

I've always wanted to write, but I haven't been able to for a long while. I keep jotting down the ideas, in hopes that I'll get it back.

The good news? Some web site said I'd be good at something...

You Should Be a Romance Novelist

You see the world as it should be, and this goes double for all matters of the heart.
You can find the romance in any situation, and you would make a talented romance story writer...
And while you may be a traditional romantic, you're just as likely to be drawn to quirky or dark love stories.
As long as it deals with infatuation, heartbreak, and soulmates - you could write it.

  1. I'm sorry you are feeling so lonely sweetheart. I wish we could have more time to talk, damn time zones! Maybe you should start writing, hey you'll get a kick out of this one... that little test says I should be a science fiction writer LOL. Guess I went in the right direction with Sahara eh! I hope that you feel less lonely soon, sit back and listen to that cd, unless that doesn't help at all. I'll talk to you later tonight. Chin up sweetie.

  2. Romance novels cover a lot of ground. Larry McMurtry's stuff overlaps this category, at least to my mind. And I'll bet a least a big handfull of the traditional Romance are written by men. So while the test may have been a stretch, then again maybe not all wrong. RobLL

  3. I've always like romance novels. Well, novels that have romance in them. I even like the chick flicks.

Ever read any of those "historical novels?" Ancient Ireland and Scotland, knights, swords, intrigue, castles, sex, heaving breasts on the book cover. What's not to like?

  4. Have you read the historical romances of John Cowper Powys (sp?), his Porteous again sp may be off. It is very difficult to find, son finally got me a copy from UW. Atlantic monthly had a long review sometime in the last ten years. I'm a non-fiction reader, but his novels are awesome, particularly Porteous.
